‘Cat Talking’ is a children’s Speech and Language Therapy learning resource I designed for my local NHS Integrated Care Centre. This story is being used by therapists with children who stammer or have unintelligible speech from ages 3 to 7 and their parents. 

The book’s design needed to be simple and approachable in order to leave room for the child’s learning process. Cues were taken from existing children's classics, most notably ‘Spot the Dog’.

Illustrations from the book are also being used as visual aids on associated worksheets for stammering and speech impediments.

NHS Northern Care Alliance were very pleased with the outcome of the project, and provided the following feedback:
